3-day Tableeghi Ijtema begins, Aurangabad witnessed a sea of heads

Aurangabad: The 3-day ijtama of Tableeghi Jamaat has begun in Aurangabad today. All the necessary preparations have been completed to hold the three-day ‘Tablighi Ijtema-2018’ (Preaching Congregation), which starts on Saturday at Limbe Jalgaon village in Gangapur Taluka, about 16 km from here.

According to sources, the Ijtema begins with Namaz-e-Fajr on Saturday morning, followed by a series of lectures from different Muslim scholars and clerics.

A huge pandal has been erected in one sq ft area at the venue for prayers, where discussion and debates will be held on various subjects, including the Islamic way of life and principals of Tablighi Jamaat, apart from the main aim of universal peace and brotherhood.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena is seen looking to shed their image of a right-wing organisation has put an hoarding requesting the Muslims who are on the way to Ijtema to pray for them.

Police permit

The Aurangabad police department has given a permit for holding a three-day convention IJTEMA-2018 near Limbe Jalgaon village in Gangapur taluka of the district on February 24. Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) Vinayak Dhakane gave a permission letter to village sarpanch Anis Patel in this regard on Monday. The aim of the convention was universal peace and brotherhood. Before issuing a permit, Mr Dhakane along with his senior police officials visited the venue and examined all the aspects of the congregation.

Police said the organising committee agreed to comply with all rules of the government and follow terms and condition for hosting the mega event in which more than 15 lakh people likely to participate from across the state, country and from abroad, they added.

Special Trains:

South Central Railway (SCR) will run two special trains to clear extra rush of passengers attending Ijtema, taking place in Bhopal. The Nanded-Bhopal train (07421) will run on November 23. It will leave Nanded at 9 pm. It is expected to reach Bhopal next day on 11.20 pm.
