30 engineering colleges to lose JNTU affiliation

Hyderabad: Engineering colleges in Telangana who did not pay the students common service fee received a setback from Jawaharlal Technological University (JNTU). The JNTU administration told that the engineering colleges who did not pay students common fee will lose their affiliation. Thus affiliation of 30 engineering colleges has not been granted.

According to JNTU colleges need to pay an affiliation fee of Rs. 3000 per student to the university. The fee has to be paid by the colleges themselves however the engineering colleges’ administration reportedly collect it from the students.
