312 Hajj aspirants didn’t pay 1st instalment, 150 cancelled pilgrimage

The last date to pay 1st instalment of the Hajj expenses ended on Saturday. Rs. 81000 as the 1st instalment, international passport and 2 passport size photos had to be submitted on or before April 30.

Special Officer Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor revealed that as per Hajj committee records 312 Hajj aspirants didn’t pay the 1st instalment. He told if any aspirant has the challan receipt of amount deposited date on or before April 30, he/she can complete the necessary procedure by arriving at Hajj committee office. Some aspirants might have deposited the amount in time but might not have submitted passport and photos such persons will be given time to submit the same. He further informed that the last date to submit applications under Mahram category is May 23.

Hajj flights will begin in the last week of August. As many as 150 aspirants have cancelled their pilgrimage and have taken back their applications. Those include 100 aspirants from Telangana.
