33-year-old Hyderabad man drowns in Elbow Falls a day after receiving Canadian citizenship

Hyderabad: A 33-year-old Mohammed Abdul Qadir drowned after falling into Elbow Fall in Canada. After massive search operation, his body was recovered by police on 30th July.

Abdul, who was a resident of Amberpet, Hyderabad was employed as an IT analyst in WestJet company, Canada. On Saturday, when the entire family of Abdul visited  Elbow Falls, one of them slipped while taking photographs. Abdul in an attempt to save the family member fell into the waterfall.

After the incident, a search operation was launched with the help of helicopter and body was recovered. Later, the body was handed over to family members.

It may be mentioned that Abdul Qadir who was residing in Canada with his wife and two-month-old baby boy received Canadian citizen on Friday, a day before the incident.

After the sad incident, to bring the body back home, crowd funding campaign was started on gofundme.com to financial help the family of Abdul.
