35 per cent pay hike to electricity employees: CM

Hyderabad: Ahead of Pragathi Nivedan Meeting, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced sops to Electricity employees with a good pay hike of 35 per cent (through PRC) besides promising to provide a suitable health scheme.

This indicates that the government plans to extend almost similar or nearby 35 per cent of PRC to all other departments.

The TRS Boss slammed the leaders who opposed statehood and painted a gloomy picture of no power if Telangana formed. Such leaders are gone into darkness and now the state is becoming number in one in several sectors he said. KCR was addressing the electricity employees who thronged in large numbers to Pragathi Bhavan here in the presence of CMD Prabhakar Rao. The chief minister wooed the electricity officials and staff for team work almost becoming power surplus state as they sold Rs 250 cr worth of power in recent times by increasing power production.

It is only Telangana state that achieved 17.83 per cent growth rate in the country while the electricity has achieved a great success of surpassing the crisis and increasing production and need to provide better salaries.
