4 cab drivers arrested for robbing 15 passengers on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway

The Gurgaon police arrested four cab drivers who robbed more than a dozen passengers at gunpoint on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on Tuesday.

According to the police, they would target people walking on the roads looking for a ride. One of the gang members out of four used to drive and the other three pretended to be passengers.

The police stated that the drivers work for a famous cab service and in the last three months have robbed over 15 people by threatening passengers at gun or knifepoint.

Gurgaon police officer Shamsher Singh “The accused are the residents of Haryana, three from Mewat and another from Palwal. They have confessed that they had robbed cash, ATM cards, and mobiles from over 15 people at a gunpoint.”

The police have also seized two taxis.
