King Edward Point: An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale struck off a British Overseas Territory in the southern Atlantic Ocean, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands on Friday.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake occurred at 16:14 (UTC) at a depth of 58.4 km.
No casualties have been reported.
