Hyderabad: An Indian Rock Python was rescued from the Hyderabad Central University campus earlier this week. The reptile was eight-foot long and weighed around 10 kg.

As reported by Telangana Today, security guards alerted Friends of Animals Society following which Pradeep Nair, a rescuer, reached the campus with his friend and rescued the python. The reptile was then handed over to the Friends of Snakes Society.

According to Nair this was the first time that a python was spotted in HCU this year though several other non-venomous snakes were sighted on the campus. He further informed that nearly 30 different snakes had been rescued from the campus so far.
