Hyderabad: City hospitals are flooded with patients who had suffered firecracker-related eye injuries on the occasion of Diwali. 35 people arrived at Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital alone on Thursday and Friday.
According to another sources the number of patients suffered from firecracker injuries brought to state-run Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital and L V Prasad Eye Institute was 86. Doctors at SD Eye Hospital said that they treated 47 patients on Friday, of whom 12 had suffered critical injuries.
Injuries ranged from minor to serious burns.
