95 percent govt jobs in Telangana to locals

HYDERABAD: The new zonal system proposed by the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao finally received the Presidential nod.

According to reports, soon after President Ramnath Kovind gave his assent on Wednesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette notification on Thursday approving the government’s proposal for new zones for the state.

With the proposed new zonal system, 95 percent of posts are reserved for locals, five percent will be open for non-locals in public employment and education.

According to the notification, the new zonal system will have seven zones and two multi-zones. The seven zones include Kaleshwaram (zone I), Basara (zone II), Rajanna (zone III) Bhadradri (zone IV), Yadadri (zone V), Charminar (zone VI) and Jogulamba (zone VII).

The first four zones are considered as multi-zone-1 and the rest three would come under another multi-zones.
