Southampton [UK]: Shoaib Akhtar, former Pakistani cricketer expressed his view over India-Afghanistan match. He said, “India dodged a bullet”.

In a video which was shared on his YouTube Channel, he said that India’s batting performance in the match was very poor. He also said that M.S. Dhoni played very slow.

Congratulating Afghanistan, Akhtar said that the team had played very well.

Commenting on India’s victory in the match, Akhtar said, “India dodged a bullet”.

Further talking about the match, Akhtar said that Afghanistan’s victory in the match would have triggered many questions over India’s team.

He said that the match was the wake-up for the Indian cricket team.

Chasing 225 for victory, Afghanistan needed 16 runs in six balls with three wickets in hand.

Nabi smacked Shami for a four and then refused a single to keep the strike.

In the next three balls, Shami had Nabi caught by Hardik Pandya at long on and then castled Aftab Alam and Mujeeb ur Rahman in successive deliveries to grab a hat-trick.

Ultimately, India won the match after Afghanistan lost 10 wickets for 213 runs.
