Chandigarh:The state BJP on Thursday condemned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for rallying Johal. State BJP vice-president Harjit Singh Grewal and secretary Vineet Joshi told the media that AAP was supporting Johal just for the sake of NRI funding.
“Facebook is being used to cater to NRIs. By pointing fingers at the police investigation, AAP leaders are fulfilling the ISI’s motive of reviving militancy in Punjab,” Joshi said.
According to TNS, The BJP leaders said, “AAP MLA Kanwar Sandhu and MP Bhagwant Mann should reveal their source of information of allegations against the Punjab Police. Without waiting for a report of the investigating agency or revealing their source of information, how can the two leaders conclude that Johal has been wrongfully confined and tortured by the police?”
