Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust holds Urdu exams in TS, neighbouring states

Hyderabad: Urdu examinations of “Urdu Dani”, “Zaban Dani” and “Insha” of Idara Adabiyat-e-Urdu were held on 28th January under the auspicious of Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust successfully at various places in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka in which thousands of candidates, men and women including non-Muslims participated.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Dr. Mohammed Anwaruddin, former Head of the Dept. of Urdu, University of Hyderabad, Mr. Iftekhar Husain, Secretary, Faiz-e-Aam Trust, Mr. Syed Saleem, Advocate, Mr. Shaik Faheemullah, Advocate, Mr. Mohammed Ismail Khan, Lecturer, Nizam College and others visited examination center at Mehboob Husain Hall, Siasat Office Complex.

At this center, Dr. P.V. Channa Rao (OU Scholar), Dr. K. Moluru, Staff Reporter of Mana Telangana (Telugu), Mr. B. Hanumanth Rao (Research Scholar), Mr. Ashok (Research Scholar), Mr. G. Srinivas (Research Scholar) were writing the Urdu Exam. These non-Urdu speakers expressed their passion for learning Urdu. They were very much impressed by the sweetness of Urdu language. At this center, along with young children, aged women also wrote the exam.

Among the other centers, in Dawn School, nearly 300 students wrote the exam. This school is being run by Mr. Fazalur Rehman Qurram, son of Late Mr. Raziur Rehman. At Mehboobia Islami School, Dabeerpura, nearly 300 students wrote the exam. At this center, a non-Muslim girl, Shalina also wrote the exam. A Ph.D. Scholar, Khairunnisa Amreen also a candidate for this exam.

Mr. Zeeshan was the incharge of examination center at Madrasa Deeniya Rehmania, Dabeerpura wherein young girls wrote the exam. At Madrasa Bint-e-Haram, Makkah Masjid and Madrasa Ar-Razzaquia, this examination was held under the supervision of Ms. Syeda Zainab wherein 49 candidates appeared. The candidates included a three-year-old minor girl and an 85-year-old aged person. Dr. Sumayya Tamkeen and Rubina Fatima Saher of UoH inspected this center.

Dr. M.M. Anwar inspected Ashraful Madaris, Yakutpura, Imam Baksh High School, Rein Bazar, Madrasa Islamia Maariful Quran and Madrasa Ashrafia, Fateh Darwaza.

It may be mentioned that Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust organizes these examinations which are held by Idara Adabiyat-e-Urdu. The trust supplies free textbooks for these exams.

Various educational experts who inspected these examination centers applauded the efforts by Siasat Urdu Daily and Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust.
