Absconding drug peddler nabbed in Marredpally

Hyderabad: Sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, today nabbed an absconding drug peddler identified as Shashikanth Cherla alias Bobby and seized cash of Rs 1,660 and an I-Phone from his possession.
Police said the accused of Ganesh Nagar Colony of West Marredpally in Secunderabad was born and brought up in Hyderabad. Since 2004, he started consuming ganja by purchasing it from unidentified persons in Secunderabad. Later he started purchasing ganja and MDMA drug and selling the same for easy money. He used to search for drugs by browsing internet and used to purchase MDMA drug, Cocaine and so on by using “Tor Browser” and selling the same to others on high price and earning money.
Police said Shashikanth along with his friend Abhinav Mahender used to sell MDMA and other drugs in Hyderabad. However, in July this year, Abhinav Mahender was arrested by West Zone Task Force in drugs case and sent to jail by Banjara Hills PS. In this case, Shashikanth Cherla was absconding. On a tip-off today, the Task Force sleuths nabbed Shashikanth Cherla at Marredpally and handed him over to SHO, Banjara Hills PS.
The arrest was made under the supervision of P. Radha Kishan Rao, Dy Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force by L. Raja Venkat Reddy, Inspector, with the assistance of Sub Inspectors P. Mallikarjun, M. Prabhakar Reddy, V. Kishore, L. Bhaskar Reddy and staff. (NSS)
