“Absolutely right decision”, Shah shields Pragya Thakur nomination in LS polls

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Monday defended the party’s decision to field Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur from Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency

Thakur, who is currently out on bail has been fielded by the BJP from Bhopal constituency against senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh despite a case of terrorism pending against her.

Speaking at a press conference in Kolkata, Shah said, “I want to say that a false case alleging Hindu terror was registered against Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and others. When the court started the proceedings of the case, it was found to be false.”
