Accommodation for Hajj pilgrims in Makkah: Mahmood Ali and Shukoor make attempts

Hyderabad: Attempts would be made to provide alternate accommodation to the Hajj pilgrims of Hyderabad in Makkah in lieu of the dismantled Hyderabadi Rubaths. This was suggested during the negotiations between Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood and Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Special Officer of Telangana Hajj Committee.

Prof. Shukoor told that five buildings of Hyderabadi Rubaths were dismantled in connection with the expansion of Masjid-e-Haram. There is only one Rubath left out. Attempts are being made to get alternate accommodation for Hajj pilgrims by hiring other buildings. Govt. of Saudi Arabia would also be requested to provide other buildings around Haram Shareef.

Prof. Shukoor also told that efforts would be made for the establishment of Saudi Consulate in Hyderabad. Mr. KCR has already made a representation to Saudi Govt.
