Accused DSP in murder case commits suicide at his residence

Thiruvananthapuram: Wanted DSP in an alleged murder of 32-year-old Sanal Kumar of Kodungavila was found dead hanging from his bedroom ceiling in Kallambalam today.

B Harikumar was a former DSP of Neyyattinkara police subdivision in Thiruvananthapuram and was wanted in a murder case.

The DSP’s suicide news came just moments later after Sanal’s widow wife declared indefinite Hunger strike against criminals.

According to reports, a scuffle broke between the former DSP, his friend HariKumar and Sanal Kumar over Parking issue at Kodungavila on November 5.

DSP allegedly pushed Sanal in front of a speeding car following which Sanal suffered multiple injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but breathed his last only a few hours after his admittance into the hospital, TOI reports.

Harikumar who accompanied the former DSP was the one who manhandled Sanal as he parked his car obstructing the former’s car.

The former DSP and his friend were leaving after visiting their friend Binu who lived in the nearby.

Harikumar, Binu were absconding after the incident while Harikumar was found dead in his residence and the former DSP committed suicide at his residence today.
