Some actors discuss box office collection to sound cool: Neil Nitin Mukesh

Mumbai: He has been a part of some blockbuster movies but Neil Nitin Mukesh does not like to engage in conversations about a film’s box office collections and he feels actors talk movie business just to sound cool. The ‘Johnny Gaddar’ actor said he finds many young actors today discussing about film business, which they have no clue about.

“Now a days I hear so many young actors discussing business. Trust me, I am sure they have no idea of how the business of cinema works. They don’t know what the collections are like, but they just want to sound cool. Unfortunately, just to sound cool I won’t make any conversation,” Neil told PTI.

The actor’s 2015 on-screen outing, superstar Salman Khan starrer ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year 2015. Neil, however, said he does not bother himself with how much money his movies have made. “I have never taken that pressure. I am an artist, I don’t want to dilute my craft by sitting and discussing Friday business and box office collections. If you want to come and discuss how beautifully written a story was, then I would love to do that.

“But if you come and tell me ‘This is a superhit film because it did a Friday business of 100-cr’, that doesn’t
excite me at all. I keep myself far away from that conversation.”

The ‘Wazir’ actor will celebrate his 34th birthday on January 15 and Neil is “praying” to find somebody with whom he will settle down in the future.

“marriage depends on the destiny. When I meet someone then… I am turning 34. I am praying to God that I come across somebody, who loves me enough to want to be with me for the rest of her life. Let’s see.”
