Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan spoke about her struggle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which is also referred to as Polycystic Ovary Disease (PCOD).
According to the report published in FIT, Sara Ali Khan revealed about the disorder at a chat show, “Koffee with Karan”. Due to PCOD, her weight was 96 kgs, she said.
The actress said, “I had PCOD. I still do. Because of that I think I put on the amount of weight that I did. And because of that, there was also like a hormone problem. PCOD made it very hard for me to lose weight”.
It may be mentioned that Sara Ali Khan is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh.
What is PCOS?
It is a disorder that triggers hormonal imbalance. In this disorder, the woman may suffer from elevated androgen (male hormone) or irregular menstruation or ovarian cysts.
Although there is no cure for the disorder, it can be treated.
