Advocates’ Commission of HC visits Gutla Begumpet Wakf land

Hyderabad: Three member Advocates’ Commission appointed by Hyderabad High Court visited wakf land pertaining to Gutla Begumpet Eidgah and the reviewed the illegal constructions.

They visited survey numbers 1 to 9 which encompass 90 acre and 70 guntas Wakf Land attached to Masjid Alamgir and Eidgah Gutla Begumpet. The members continued their work throughout the day and finished the survey of four survey numbers. The commission will survey the remaining wakf land on 1st July.

It is reported that the ongoing construction work on the wakf land was stopped soon after the visit of the commission.

It may be mentioned that the illegal occupants had challenged the gazette notification issued by the Wakf Board in High Court of Hyderabad. The members of the commission are Mr. N. Rajeshwar Rao, Ms. V. Khatoon and Mr. Solomon Raj. They are being paid Rs. 75000 per head as their fees. The chairman of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem was also present on this occasion.
