Afghanistan: Taliban forces kill 41 soldiers in Kandahar province

Kabul: Two suicide car bombings resulting in the death of at least 41 soldiers at the army camp in the southern Kandahar province by the Taliban have been reported by Afghan officials.

The attack ended the several hours of the fighting killing of 41 soldiers of the army camp.

Khalid Pashtun parliament member of the province confirmed the death toll of the soldiers.

Confirming the death toll an Afghan official did not give in details into the information about the incident.

A media statement given by the Taliban confirmed the attack. Since the US and Nato have formally ended their combat mission back in 2014, the Afghan forces are struggling to combat the resurgent Taliban since then.

The Taliban has also killed six police officials in northern Balkh province on Wednesday said a provincial police chief spokesperson Shir Jan Durani.
