LONDON: Hours after 49 innocent Muslim worshippers martyred in mass massacre at the two New Zealand mosques, a group of men assaulted Muslim worshipper outside at East London mosque.
The brutal act of extremism by three white men believed to be aged in their 20s occurred just hours after the barbaric attack on Muslims at ChristChurch.
According to witnesses told the Independent newspaper reportedly shouted Islamophobic abuse as they drove past the mosque on Cannon Street Road and called the worshipers, at the Friday prayers “terrorists”.
The 27-year-old victim attacked attacked “with a hammer” and a “batten” sustained injuries to his head.
In a clip filmed by a witness, one of the attackers, in an attempt to get away from the scene was videographed climbing to the car’s
bonnet.

“The suspects returned to their car and left the scene before police arrived,” a spokesperson for London’s Metropolitan Police told the Independent.
Investigations are underway and no arrests have been made yet, according to the report.
London police asked mosques to be on high alert against similar attacks, in the wake of the New Zealand mosque massacre.
