Agra: Swiss couple attacked, Foreign Minister Sushma demands report

New Delhi: Recently a group of miscreants wounded a Swiss Couple with sticks and stones on a road in Fatehpur Sikri near Agra bringing disrespecting to the Country with their disgraceful act towards these foreigners.

The shocking incident happened on Sunday when Quentin Jeremy Clerc and his girlfriend Marie Droxz, both aged 24, were repeatedly harassed on road and eventually, attacked by a group of four miscreants.

Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj acting on the incident, ordered a complete report of the brutal assault from the UP Government.

The assault wounded Jeremy Clerc who was taken to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital where the doctors told he suffered a skull fracture and a clot in his brain along with a nerve damage in his ear resulting in a partial hearing loss.

The duo from Switzerland arrived in India on September 30 to visit Agra. They were in Fatehpur Sikhri on Sunday after visiting the Taj, when they were stalked and harassed which ended in their brutal assault.

The four miscreants passed lewd comments trying hard to start a conversation with the couple. The miscreants then followed them blocked their path and forcibly took selfies.

“They followed us for almost an hour, and kept taking our pictures despite our objections,” Mr Clerc was quoted saying to the sources.

Speaking of the incident he had to go through while returning from Fatehpur Sikri, he said the men started off with hitting him with a stick until he fell to the ground, adding, “My girlfriend who was walking ahead of me rushed to my help and raised an alarm, attracting the attention of the people in the vicinity”.

Ms. Dorxz was also attacked, fracturing her arm when she came to her boyfriend’s aid.

The four miscreants fled the scene after Ms. Dorxz raised alarmed which was followed by people rushing the injured couple lying on the road to the hospital.

One of the four miscreants has been arrested.
