AIIMS launch likely in 6 months: Health Min

Extending thanks to the Centre, Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said that AIIMS in Telangana will be functional in about six months. Participating in some development programs at Nallakunta Fever Hospital here, the minister said that we have achieved AIIMS for the state and efforts will be made to start it in six months. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao efforts for AIIMS were fructified he said. With the same spirit of statehood, now the TRS Government is making similar efforts for all round development and giving priority for health. Unlike in the past, the government hospitals were completely changed.

They are now fully equipped with latest and modern machinery to cater to changing health needs of the people. The minister said that eye tests conducted soon and other health tests will be conducted every year and also prevented the spread of viral fevers and contagious diseases in agency areas. He said that 1000 Basthi Dawakhanas will be launched in the city to provide improved and on the spot health care services. In addition to setting up 20 ICU centers and 40 Dialysis units across the state the government is keen to develop hospitals with all facilities and equipment.
