AIMPLB holds meeting; discusses Lok Sabha polls, Ayodhya issue

Lucknow: A meeting of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), an apex body of Muslims in the country, was held here on Sunday. The Ayodhya issue and the Lok Sabha polls were among the matters discussed during the meeting that lasted for around three hours.

As reported by Deccan Herald, issues concerning the Muslim community topped the agenda during the meeting at Nadwatul-Ulema. The members also discussed issues like the triple talaq and strengthening ‘Darul Qaza’ (Shariah courts). Besides family matters, Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid issue was also discussed at the meeting. The meeting was attended by the representatives of different Muslim parties in the dispute.

Board chairman Maulana Rabe Hasni Nadwi who presided over the meeting also deliberated on the prevailing political situation in the country.
