AIMPLB’s call for march against triple talaq draws flak from Imam Bukhari

New Delhi: Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari has raised a question on AIMPLB’s call for the march against the Triple Talaq Bill and took a dig at Muslim Personal Law Board. In his Friday sermon, Shahi Imam expressed concern over prevailing national and international situation. He said some people of the Board along with the BJP, want to create Hindu-Muslim hostility and want to disrupt the peace of the country. Some people are sold in the hands of BJP.

Imam Bukhari alleged that the triple talaq issue has reached Supreme Court because of Muslim Personal Law Board. He said Board is the self-styled representative of Muslims but if riots occurred in the country the board authorities will restrict themselves to the houses. He cited the Okhla incident and said when the situation became tense after desecration of Quran no one came forward to solve the issue and release the youth who were arrested.
