Hyderabad: Defence Counsel, Mr. G. Gurumurthy said that it has been decided to approach High Court against the 10 year imprisonment pronounced in respect of four persons who were convicted in Akbaruddin Owaisi attack case.
Mr. Gurumurthy further said that court pronounced 10 year rigourous imprisonment to Hasan Bin Omer Yafai, Abdullah bin Younus Yafai, Awad bin Younus Yafai and Mohammed Salim bin Dahlan after they were found guilty under IPC section 307, 326, 147, 148, 324, 341, 353.
He further told that against the judgment of Sessions Court, very soon an appeal would be filed in High Court. He hoped that his clients would get further relief.
Giving the details of the appeal, DCP of Detective Dept., Mr. Avinash Mohanty told that the judgment pronounced by the Sessions Court is being reviewed scrupulously and after getting the opinions of the legal experts, a decision would be taken to approach High Court. He further told that punishment was given to four accused persons whereas 10 persons were exonerated in this case. After getting the copy of the judgment, further decision could be taken.
