Akbaruddin Owaisi files nomination for Hyderabad MP

Hyderabad: In a very surprising move, AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi filed nomination from Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned that his elder brother and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and sitting Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi had filed nomination for the same seat on March 18.

The move is being seen as an indication that Asaduddin Owaisi might contest from Aurangabad Parliamentary constituency of Maharashtra. MIM is considerably strong in Aurangabad and it is confident of winning the seat due to its alliance with Prakash Ambedkar-led Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh in Maharashtra. Aurangabad MLA Imtiyaz Jaleel of MIM had expressed his will to contest for Lok Sabha. However, with Akbaruddin Owaisi filing nomination from Hyderabad, it is being speculated that Asaduddin Owaisi himself will contest from Aurangabad while leaving the Hyderabad seat for his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi.
