All departments to make best arrangements for Hajis

Hyderabad: The All-Departments coordination meeting held here on July 12 decided to make best arrangements for the successful conduct of Haj camp 2018 for smooth departure and arrival of haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point.

Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Chairman of the haj Committee, presided over the meeting. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements being made in coordination of different Central and State government departments and instructed that excellent arrangements should be made for the safe and smooth departure of the Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao desired that no stone be left unturned for providing comfort and convenience to the Haj pilgrims when they leave for the most sacred journey of their lifetime.

Mohammed Mahmood Ali asked the Saudi Airlines authorities to ensure that no Haj flight is delayed and all amenities be provided to the pilgrims. He said this year 7,800 pilgrims belonging to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka would fly from Hyderabad to Jeddah. The Deputy Chief Minister said that representatives from 26 departments and organization participated in the meeting and appreciated all the departments and hoped that exemplary services to the pilgrims would be provided in a smooth manner.

A. K. Khan, Advisor to Government, Minority Welfare, conducted the proceedings and sought assurance from all the departments’ officials for their active cooperation. He emphasized on co-ordinated efforts for successful conduct of Haj Camp. Masiullah Khan asked the GMR to provide efficient services to the pilgrims at the Haj Terminal. He said that the Haj Camp 2018 will commence from July 30, at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad and Haj Pilgrims will start proceeding to Haj from 1 st August and last flight would fly on 16 th August, each flight would carry 300 pilgrims. Mohammed Saleem, MLC & Chairman TS Waqf Board assured all out efforts by the State Waqf Board and said that it would work in coordianation of the Haj committee during the Haj camp.

Earlier Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Special Officer, State haj committee, lauded the officials for their impressive performance and said that because of their cooperation Telangana got the pride of place in the country. He hoped that arrangements would be better this year. Mohammed Farooq Hussain MLC, Shahnawaz Qasim, Director, Minorities Welfare Department, Tayyaba Afendi, Member, Haj Committee of India were present. Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Special Officer, Telangana State Haj Committee, hoped that the departments concerned would extend cooperation as usual. Irfan Shareef, Asst. Secretary, TSHC, also spoke. Officials from Telangana State Waqf Board, GMR, Customs, Immigration, CISF, BCAS, Saudi Arabian Airlines, IPM, Princess Esra Hospital, Fire Services, RTC, PWD, Police and Traffic Police departments attended the meeting.
