Chief Secretary SK Joshi today said that the government considers to lay new roads and construct flyovers as alternative to Gough Road in Secunderabad cantonment area.
During a high level meeting with military, cantonment board and other officials at Secretariat, he discussed on alternative roads and flyovers for people of Secunderabad area. The meeting assumes significance as Gough Road is being closed regularly for people causing much inconvenience. SK Joshi also said that they have prepared plans for grade roads, elevated corridor for people and military with regard to AOC. The meeting also discussed on estimates and land required for the alternative plans. Joshi sought a report on military security fencing, watch towers, training, medical facilities and infrastructure and discussed on Jawahar Nagar filed firing, range, Shamirpet defense lands.(NSS)
