Alwar killing: police trying to trivialize mob lynching

Alwar: In case of Umar’s killing by the cow vigilantes in Alwar, police is making all efforts to trivialize mob lynching. Following the surrender of Tahir and Javed police is planning to register cases on their far off relatives. On the other side police has failed to arrest all 6 accused in the case. Though two accused Bhagwan Singh Gurjar and Ramveer Gurjar have been arrested but the other 4 accused are still getting away scot-free.

Locals say that the police is acting hardly on the victims while it is acting softly on the accused. The social organization have expressed dissatisfaction over police’s poor performance and backing the accused.

A meeting will be held in this connection on Friday, in which strategy to provide justice to the victims will be discussed. Active social worker Maulana Haneef Manna says, police is fabricating the story and giving a different colour to the case, so as to shield the killers.

Social worker Qasim Mewati said ‘firstly Umar Khan was killed and now police is implicating us in false cases. What kind of justice is this?’ He advised Muslims not to keep cows.
