Amazon launches new ‘Bill payment’ feature

Amazon India has rolled out bill payment facility that allows its customers to pay electricity bills, broadband bills and postpaid bills and exclusive amazon customers using Amazon pay can pay any of these bills with just one click.

The new service launched would ease bill payments and uses major billers across various cities in India which include BSES, Tata Power, BESCOM, BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Jio, ACT, Hathway, IGL and MGL, DC reported.

This would help its customers pay their bills using debit/credit cards, UPI, net banking all in one place rather than visiting each biller to avail their services.

Since digital transactions have now become a major success in India with people choosing digital platforms for transactions, Amazon’s service would also attract people with its plans for cash-back to those using Amazon Pay.

The giant e-commerce is also offering 10% cash back up to Rs 75 on electricity bills and 10% up to Rs 50 on any of landline, broadband, postpaid bills while Mobile prepaid recharges have a flat Rs 50 back on a minimum recharge of Rs 198 and a flat Rs 75 back on a minimum recharge of Rs 398 on the customer’s first recharge and up to Rs 30 back on repeat recharge.

Its has also partnered with selected billers, telecom and TH operators that offer exclusive promotional offers to its customers who chose to pay through Amazon.
