Minister for Power and SC Development, G Jagadish Reddy today paid floral tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar to mark 61st death anniversary. At a program at NAC he paid floral tributes Ambedkar. The minister said that Telangana achieved statehood on the ideology of Ambedkar who routed out gloom and brought back lights in the society. The State is indebted to Ambedkar and it will become a memorial center with its 125 ft tall statue to be erected soon, the minister noted. His services are recalled and immemorial. The Constitution creator paved way for smaller states like Telangana during his stint as union minister he said. The TRS boss K Chandrasekhar Rao has achieved the statehood after a protracted battle for 14 years.
Telangana will remember forever and the government is building a memorial and a building he said. Reddy also said that India will feel proud to see 125 ft tall statue of Ambedkar to be coming up in the city. (NSS)
