AMU: Students take out silent protest seeking action against those who harassed Kashmiri students

Aligarh: The alleged misbehaviour and harassment of Kashmiri students in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab took a political turn after ex-Kashmiri chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, MP Asaduddin Owaisi and General Secretary National Conference Ali Mohammed condemned the incident. They demanded to ensure the security of Kashmiri students and strict action against those who harassed them.

A silent protest was staged protesting the sedition case booked against Kashmiri students of Aligarh Muslim University. A large number of students were present on the occasion. They said police excesses will not be tolerated at any cost.

Later Vice Chancellor Aligarh Muslim University Prof Tariq Mansoor assured that action will be taken in the light of the report of the enquiry committee formed by the university. He said suspension against innocent students will be withdrawn.
