Andhra CM urges govt. departments to work towards public empowerment

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday asserted that all government departments should work towards the benefit of the people and should amalgamate with public empowerment survey and people’s hub to do so.

“All government departments should integrate with public empowerment survey and people’s hub. Like Panchayat Raj, all other departments also should update their web portals with each village’s information,” Chief Minister Naidu said at the Collectors Conference.

He added that social welfare department has been acting as the “nodal agency” for various government departments.

“Now we are able to pay scholarships to the students in real time, which is a great achievement. Earlier, scholarships payment used to take a couple of years of time,” Chief Minister Naidu added.

He also said that planning might be centralised, but implementation should be decentralised for better results.

“All SC, ST backlog posts are being filled up. Collectors should take up the initiative to complete the process by the end of January,” Chief Minister Naidu added. (ANI)
