Hyderabad: A woman allegedly murdered her husband at their residence in Film Nagar under the Banjara Hills police station limits on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Jagan, a private sector employee.
According to the police, Jagan had come home in a drunken condition and picked up a fight with his wife. Enraged over his atrocious behaviour, Devika took a mosquito spray and forced it into his mouth before throttling him to death. The victim reportedly cried for water repeatedly and lapsed into coma and breathed his last allegedly due to throttling.
The neighbours told the police that the woman did not open the door even as they tabbed the door repeatedly. Suspecting foul play, the locals alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and took Devika into custody and sent the body to the Osmania General Hospital for post mortem.
The Banjara Hills police registered a murder case and took up investigation. (NSS)
