Another anti-Islamic mission: NGO prepares draft bill on ‘Muslim family laws’

Hyderabad: Anti-Muslim elements who have won the battle over triple talaq issue has begun their next mission. They are preparing a draft bill on ‘Muslim family laws’ after which they will meet women MPs of the country to galvanise women with anti-Islamic rhetoric.

The draft bill prepared by Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan recommends amendment in sharia laws, ban on triple talaq and polygamy. It claims injustice towards women in inheritance. Calling for equal distribution of inheritance, they also recommend inheritance rights to adopted child.

According to reliable sources with the draft bill prepared by Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan, some other organisations who are working for women’s rights in different parts of the country are also preparing draft bills for other matters associated with Muslim women including right of women to offer prayer in masajid.

Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan has named the draft bill as ‘Muslim Family Law 2017’. The bill also recommended for divorce right (khula) to women without waiting for husband’s approval.
