Facing sexual assault accusations, the Baba got himself admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Alwar on Wednesday under police security.

However, doctors at the hospital found him fit and medical test including his ECG, Sugar and Blood Pressure found to be normal, Paras Jain, Additional Superintendent of Police, Alwar, was quoted by NDTV.

The incident had allegedly taken place at Madhusudan ashram of the godman in Alwar in Rajasthan on 7 August.

Citing occurrence of ‘grahan’ (eclipse) that day, the self-proclaimed religious guru advised the young woman from Chhattisgarh to stay in the ashram which she agreed to. During the night, he called the woman in his room and allegedly sexually assaulted her, the ASP said, quoting from the complaint.

The self-styled godman asked her not to tell anyone about the incident and threatened to harm her if she did so, she said.

As per the September 11 complaint, the parents of the young woman are followers of Falahari Maharaj for the past 15 years and claimed to have given large donations to the godman.

The case comes in the wake of the conviction of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh by a Panchkula special court on 25 August for the rape of two of his female devotees.
