Antony stunned over my suspension by TPCC: Sarve

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Sarve Satyanarayana today said former defence minister and veteran Congress leader AK Antony expressed his surprise over his (Satyanarayana) suspension from the party.

Speaking to the media in New Delhi after his meeting with Antony, Sarve said Antony, who is also the chairman of party’s National Disciplinary Committee , sought his explanation over his insulting remarks against State party affairs incharge RC Kuntia and TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy. He said he had explained everything that both Kuntia and Uttam did irreparable damage to the party and ensured its defeat in the recent Assembly elections.

Sarve reiterated that Uttam Kumar Reddy had sold party tickets and acted in a partisan manner in their allotment. He also said Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu and TJS chairman Kodandaram lost their credibility due to Uttam Kmar Reddy’s attitude. Stating that he had urged Antony to take action against Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sarve said Antony asked him to submit all his allegations in a written form.
