New Delhi: TDP supremo and AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu held a meeting with the state functionaries to discuss the issue of special status for Andhra Pradesh State in Amravati today.
Since NDA government at Centre refused to grant special status to AP, MPs from the state are deliberately stalling both the houses.
CM Chandra Babu while addressing the meeting said, “Meeting is convened as an emergency to take everyone’s suggestions and decide how to go forward in Parliament. We have invited organizations that fought for the state during bifurcation and the ones fighting now.”
“We’ve been hoping each day that discussion on no-confidence motion will take place. Almost all parties across the country endorse discussion on our issues in Parliament,” he added.
While representatives from BJP, YSR Congress Party and Jana Sena have not made it to the meeting.
Meanwhile, TDP has filed two no-trust motions along with YSRCP and Congress filing two no-trust motion in the Lok Sabha. Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan has adjourned the House leaving the four motions pending in Lok Sabha.
