AP: Diploma student dies after slipping from Train

AP: An 18-year-old student pursuing diploma from Dr B R A GMR Polytechnic college died after he slipped from Janma Bhoomi express at Duvvada railway station in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

The deceased identified as Reddy Yerri Naidu was a native of Vishakhapatnam’s Vennelapalem near Parawada Mandal said Duvvada GRPF SI Kameshwar Rao, Hans reported.

Yerri Naidu was a Dr B R A GMR Polytechnic college’s student located near Bommuru area in Rajamahendravaram of East Godavari district.

His college has Saturday and Sundays off. He was returning after the weekend from his hometown. On reaching Duvvada railway station, he brought a ticket to Rajamahendravaram but unfortunately slipped and hit his head hard on the railway track while boarding the slowly moving train.

Though the Duvvada GRPF police rushed to his help, he could not be saved. Naidu’s body was later sent for postmortem.
