AP Regional Tourism Investors & Stakeholders meet in City on Saturday

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism & Culture Department, in association with AP Chambers of Commerce & Industry Federation is organizing Regional Tourism Investors & Stakeholders meet here on Saturday at Taj Krishna.

           

Addressing the media here today, Chairman of AP Chambers and Tourism Sub-Committee K Lakshminarayana said the meeting aims to attract investors to invest in tourism and fill gap between investors and the State government. He said the AP Chambers has decided to conduct five Regional-Investors & Stakeholders meetings at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Kurnool, Tirupati and Vijayawada. He said some 200 investors have submitted their proposals worth about Rs 2,000 crore. Of them, 10 proposals, worth Rs 1000 crore were short-listed. The Tourism Department will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the investors at the fifth and final Regional Meet to be held at Vijayawada on November 24, he said.

Lakshminarayana said the third regional meet would be held in Kurnool at Hotel Mourya Inn on November 10 and fourth in Tirupati at Hotel Fortune Grand Ridge on November 17 and fifth one in Vijayawada at Hotel Fortune Murali Park on November 24. He said AP Tourism & Culture Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy will be the chief guest at the Hyderabad meet.

The officials of Tourism & Culture will give presentations on the huge “potential and opportunities” available in the State with a focus on the tourism prominence of each ‘Region’ and extensive ‘potential and opportunities’ available in it. The officials will ensure the ‘Ease of doing business’ in their respective Regions/Districts and explain their ‘support system’ for speedy approval and clearances for the proposed tourism development projects under “Singal Desk Mode”, Laxminarayana said.
