Vijayawada: Two high school students have been suspended after the school authorities caught them drinking inside the classroom.

The incident is reported from a government school located in Vijayawada were two girl students studying in Class XI were found engaged in drinking by other students, TOI reports.

The students later alerted the authorities and the school staff which led to their suspensions.

According to reports, the two girls mixed alcohol with a cold drink to avoid the detection but could not behave properly after consuming the alcohol.

When the school Headmaster learnt about the incident he issued transfer certificate to the students for their misconduct.

“It is true that the two students were coming drunk to the class. Their father was an alcoholic and that is how they got the habit. Their behaviour could damage the school’s reputation and so we have issued transfer certificates to both of them,” said the headmaster.
