AP: Unable to pursue higher studies student ends life

Madanapalle: Unable to pursue higher studies in Jaipur a 19-year-old student committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan on Tuesday.

The deceased identified as Sruthi (19) of Narasingraopet village, Gudur, was studying B.Sc (BBC) but wanted to pursue Agriculture B.sc from Jaipur like her other friends who managed to get admissions in Jaipur’s college.

Her father Pedapudi Veerabadram tried to convince her that he cannot afford to send her to Jaipur as his earnings are not sufficient enough. Sruthi who suddenly became silent with no activity over the past one week reportedly committed suicide at her residence on Tuesday.

In a similar incident, a B.Tech student tried committing suicide by consuming pesticide in Madanapalle after was forced to quit her studies. The deceased identified as Sindhuja (22) was forced to quit her studies due to financial constraints. She was rushed to a nearby hospital when her neighbours spotted her. She is reported to be out of danger now.

Police have registered a case and investigating the matter reported HansIndia.
