NEW DELHI: As the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has found only love and no Jihad in the interfaith marriage of Hadiya with Kerala Muslim man Shafin Jahan and ends the probe, Shafin has sought an apology from Republic TV, Times Now channels.

Shafin taking to micro-blogging site Twitter ask the Republic TV and Times Now whether they will issue an apology for running the false propaganda against him and his wife Hadiya.
“Will @republic issue apology for running false propaganda against us..? #Hadiya #hadiyacase #Hadi,yaWins,” tweeted Shafin on Thursday.

Hadiya alias Akhila Asokan, 24, a homoeopathy doctor, converted to Islam and married Jahan following which Kerala High Court annulled Hadiya’s marriage after a petition filed by her father Asokan KM.
Setting aside a Kerala HC judgement, Supreme Court in March this year, ruled that the Hadiya‘s marriage with Jahan was valid.

As part of its investigation in so-called cases of “love jihad,” the NIA on Thursday said that its investigation into interfaith marriages, including the famous Hadiya case and 10 others have found no evidence of coercion or entrapment that can result in prosecution.
“The NIA is not supposed to file any further report in this regard in the Supreme Court. As far as the NIA is concerned, the matter stands closed as the agency has not found any evidence to suggest that in any of these cases either the man or the woman was coerced to convert,” said a senior agency official who spoke to Hindustan Times on condition of anonymity.
