Apple decides its first Indian campus recruitment at IIITH

Hyderabad: Apple Inc. decided to recruit from Indian campus for the first time. Company recruitment team is likely to visit IIIT-H to offer jobs to engineering students of the college.

According to the news published in Economic Times, after university students came to know about the recruitment, they were optimistic.

Speaking about the placement drive by Apple, TV Devi Prasad, in charge of placements at the university said that his students will get a chance to exhibit their talents.

He further said that the selected candidates are likely to be placed either in Hyderabad or Bengaluru branches of Apple Inc.

It may be mentioned that apart from Apple, other companies like Microsoft, Google, Philips will also conduct campus recruitments at the university.

Nearly 350 B. Tech, BE, M. Tech and MSc (Research) students of the university will participate in the recruitment drive which is likely to start next month.

According to officials, there is a rise in the number of companies hiring for Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Automation and Deep Learning. There is also an increase in hardware engineers’ requirement. However, for overseas jobs, only one company by name ‘Indeed’ registered so far.
