Assam Public Service Commission has published recruitment advertisement of Assistant Conservator of Forests (AFS) Class I post for fill up 25 vacancies in Environment and Forests Department, Government of Assam.

Educational Qualifications:

Graduate degree of any recognized University in Arts, Science or Commerce.
A Degree/ Diploma in Journalism or in Mass Communication from an Institute recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) or at least 03 years experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity public relations organizations/ Government Public Relations Department.
A good command over English.
Knowledge of Assamese or any other regional language or local language of the state.
Knowledge of Computer Application.

Age Limit: 35 to 45 Years for Director, 21 to 43 Years for all other positions. The age limit as on 1st January 2018. The Upper age limit is relaxable as per GOI Rules.

Scale of Pay:

(a) Fishery Development Officer -> ₹ 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- with Grade Pay ₹ 12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.


(b) Medical Inspector of Factories -> Pay Band-4, ₹ 30,000 – 1,10,000/- (Grade Pay of ₹ 12,700/-)

(c) Director of Economics and Statistics -> ₹ 30,000 – 1,10,000/- plus Grade pay of ₹ 16900/- of PB-4 plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules of Govt. of Assam.

(d) Veterinary Officer/ Block Veterinary Officer and Lecturers -> PB-4 ₹ 30000 – 110000/- with Grade Pay ₹ 12700/-

Educational Qualifications:

Fishery Development Officer -> B.F.Sc Degree from any College/ University recognized by the I.C.A.R or D.F.Sc or Master of Science (Fisheries) from C.I.F.E. Mumbai or any other Institute of the I.C.A.R.

Medical Inspector of Factories -> Degree or Diploma equivalent to a Degree of a recognized University in any branch of Medicine.

Director of Economics and Statistics -> Atleast 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from a recognized University or its equivalent. (OR)

Degree of a recognized University with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as subject and a Diploma recognized by Govt. obtained after atleast 02 years Post Graduate training in Statistics. Not less than 10 years experience.

Veterinary Officer/ Block Veterinary Officer -> Bachelor degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from any recognized University.

Lecturers -> Bachelor Degree. 03 years diploma in concerned subject with minimum 55% marks. At least 5 years teaching experience in the concerned subject in an organization of institution of repute under AICTE.

Application Fee: ₹ 250/- Only for General, ₹ 150/- only for SC / ST, There is no fee for Candidates having BPL Certificate. The fee should be deposited only through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT OF APSC” showing name of post and department. Original copy of Treasury Challan should be submitted along with the application form.

How to Apply: The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Under Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-22. The last date of receiving duly filled up application form in the Commission’s office is fixed on 19/03/2018 during office hours.
