Arnab’s Republic TV calls Maulana Jalaluddin Umari Commander in Chief

New Delhi: Anger prevails among Muslim community after the Republic TV of Arnab Goswami made a nefarious attempt to list President Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Maulana Jalaluddin Umari among terrorists by calling him Commander in Chief of Jamat-e-Islami, Kashmir.

It must be noted that keeping in view the situation in Kashmir following Pulwama attack, the government of India has put a ban on Jamat-e-Islami Kashmir but Jamat-e-Islami Hind has nothing to do with the said organisation. However, Republic TV created confusion by reporting such fake news.

As reported by the Inquilab, in another reprehensible move, CNN News 18 while showing shots of the property of Masood Azhar of Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) also showed the video of Masjid-e-Haram, Masjid Nabawi and Masjid-e-Aqsa, the three holiest places of Muslims; thus hurting the sentiments of Muslims.

This is all done to polarise the situation. It is not out of place to mention here that, father of Republic TV Chief Arnab Goswami is the leader of BJP and the channel is funded by BJP members. No wonder it is using cheap tactics to tarnish the image of Muslims of the country.

Meanwhile, Muslim leaders have called for legal action against Republic TV which is trying to defame Muslims by airing false news.
