Hyderabad: State Election Commissioner Nagi Reddy today said all arrangements have been made for conducting polls for local bodies in the State.
Talking to the media here today, Nagi Reddy said they are ready for holding ZPTC and MPTC elections as per schedule. Election Notification will be issued between April 18 and 20, he said. He also said they have appointed polling staff and will provide training for ROs and AROs for the polls. The notification will have all details for the polls and copies will be given, he said. Names of the people will be added to the voter list by the time of notification issued, he said.
Nagi Reddy held a meeting on poll preparedness with Chief Secretary SK Joshi, DGP Mahender Reddy and other officials. As per the information, the state has 32 ZPPs, 535 ZPTCs, 535 MPPs, 5,857 MPTCs, 32,007 polling stations, some 160 lakh electorate, 1,86,000 polling staff and 50,000 security personnel were needed for the polls, he added.
