Arun Jaitley calls on Saudi King Salman, discusses bilateral ties

Riyadh [Saudi Arabia]: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday called on King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud in Riyadh.

Jaitley took to Twitter to inform about it.

“Called on His Royal Highness The King of Saudi Arabia, February 18, 2018,” tweeted the Finance Minister.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of developing and strengthening them in the future, reported Saudi Arabia’s Arab News.

Jaitley, who is on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, will co-chair the 12th India-Saudi Arabia Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) on February 18 and 19.

The 12th India-Saudi Arabia Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) will be held in Riyadh.

Jaitley and his Saudi counterpart will open the “Saudi-Indian Business Council” later in the day.

He will also visit the “India Pavillion” at the Saudi National Heritage and Cultural Festival Janadriyah.

He will meet with the Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi on Monday to discuss bilateral issues.

Jaitley is also likely to call on several Saudi dignitaries during his visit.

He will return to Delhi on Monday evening. (ANI)
